‘Die Hard 5’ Gets Titled Plus Details

2 min read

The details are starting to come out a bit more as it appears that Fox Filmed Entertainment’s CEO, Tom Rothman, got out in front of the media today and talked about the fifth installment of the Die Hard franchise. The next installment will be titled A Good Day To Die Hard. Hoo boy. The film, still not set whether it will be PG-13 or R rated, is set for February 14th, 2013 with production to begin in January of 2012 with John Moore taking the directorial duties. Moore is “best” known for his work on Max Payne and he’s who Bruce Willis personally selected to take on the film with a script by Skip Woods, the man behind Hitman. Apparently, The story will have McClane traveling to Russia to save his son John McClane, Jr., “but nothing is what it seems.”

Casting is set to begin soon beyond that, but the one casting note we do know about is that his daughter from the previous film, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, will not be returning.

Let’s take a trip down memory lane with the four previous installments in trailer form to remember why we liked it all those years ago, back in 1988.
