‘Squid Girl’ Season 2 Anime Set For Crunchyroll Simulcast

1 min read

The return of Squid Girl for a second season is definitely one of the more welcome bits of news this anime season and it’s been expected, but not confirmed, that the show would return to simulcast on Crunchyroll. While the company has not made any formal news, it is now showing up on their sidebar of upcoming shows as the first episode is set to premiere this coming Sunday. The episode page for the first one is set and the countdown clock is underway.

Media Blasters announced the home video license earlier this year and is bringing it out in two parts this fall in bilingual form.

Plot concept: With the environment ever deteriorating on a global scale, rage of those who suffer the most is about to erupt. Take this girl, for example. She is hell-bent on annihilating the mankind before her species is wiped off the surface of the earth, or, to be precise, off the bottom of the ocean.  As she sets out on her vengeful journey, however, she becomes aware of certain limitations. She’s nothing but a squid out of water…
