Nick Spencer has confirmed via his Twitter account that he’s signed an exclusive deal with with Marvel Comics.  Spencer is currently writing for the company with Iron Man 2.0 and is slated to take over Secret Avengers this year as he’s slowly but surely making a name for himself there. Outside of Marvel, he’s definitely made a name for himself with his work on Morning Glories (which was one of the best selling trades last month) and for his worked on T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. Spencer did confirm via Twitter that his contract doe snot affect his creator owned work nor his work on T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents.

Nick Spencer has written several things over the last couple of years that have gained him a bit of notice prior to coming onto Marvel with Iron Man 2.0. For DC Comics, he wrote Action Comics #893-896, a Jimmy Olsen one-shot and was the co-writer on Supergirl #60 as well as the man behind T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents. At Image comics, he was involved with Existence 2.0 and 3.0, Forgetless, Fractured Fables, Morning Glories and Shuddertown.

Amusingly, he tweeted one revelation he had since the news broke out: “What all this exclusive stuff has taught me is I need to get some better pictures taken.”
